Main Indication:

IMURAN is used as an immunosuppressant antimetabolite either alone, or more commonly, in combination with other agents (usually corticosteroids) and procedures which influence the immune response. Therapeutic effect may be evident only after weeks or months and can include a steroid-sparing effect, thereby reducing the toxicity associated with high dosage and prolonged usage of corticosteroids. IMURAN, in combination with corticosteroids and/or other immunosuppressive agents and procedures, is indicated in the management of patients receiving organ transplants. IMURAN, either alone or more usually in combination with corticosteroids and/or other procedures, has been used with clinical benefit (which may include reduction of dosage or discontinuation of corticosteroids) in a proportion of patients suffering from the following: severe rheumatoid arthritis; systemic lupus erythematosus; dermatomyositis/polymyositis; autoimmune chronic active hepatitis; pemphigus vulgaris; polyarteritis nodosa; autoimmune haemolytic anaemia; chronic refractory idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.

Main Indication:

All forms of Parkinson's disease: idiopathic (paralysis agitans), postencephalitic and arteriosclerotic. Symptoms often responding well to Kemadrin include rigidity, akinesia, tremor, speech and writing difficulties, gait, sialorrhoea and drooling, sweating, oculogyric crises and depressed mood.

Kemadrin is also used to control troublesome extrapyramidal symptoms induced by neuroleptic drugs including pseudoparkinsonism, acute dystonic reactions and akathisia.

Intra-Articular: Kenacort-A 10 Injection (Sterile Triamcinolone Acetonide Suspension USP) is indicated for intra-articular or intrasynovial administration, and for injections into tendon sheaths, as adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in: synovitis of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute and subacute bursitis, acute gouty arthritis, epicondylitis, acute nonspecific tenosynovitis, post-traumatic osteoarthritis. Intradermal: Intralesional administration of Kenacort-A 10 Injection is indicated for the treatment of keloids, discoid lupus erythematous, necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum, alopecia areata and localised hypertrophic, infiltrated, inflammatory lesions of: lichen planus, psoriatic plaques, granuloma annulare, and lichen simplex chronicus (neurodermatitis), Kenacort-A 10 Injection also may be useful in cystic tumours of an aponeurosis or tendon (ganglia).
